Gallery Wendi Norris will present "Phenomena," a group exhibition featuring fresh-to-market modern works by gallery artists Eileen Agar, Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo, Alice Rahon, and Dorothea Tanning, alongside Leonor Fini. The gallery has selected a complementary array of landscapes created in diverse global locations - England, Mexico, the U.S. – visually linked by a shared presence of feeling over intellect, emotion over reason, a projection of a “psychic reality onto the natural world.”
Phenomona showcases the gallery’s singular expertise with these artists, with newly curated insight into and across their bodies of work. The exhibition also coincides with the gallery’s curatorial and support work with seminal European museum exhibitions such as Surrealism Beyond Borders (Tate Modern), the 2022 Venice Biennial, and Magic and Surrealism (Guggenheim Venice).
The fair will take place from October 12-16, 2022.
