Working with objective drawings and diagrams, Rohini Devasher creates views of the natural world that underscore the attention to detail in both science and art.
In her research-intensive practice, Devasher explores the intersections between science, art and philosophy. Astrology and cosmology, in particular, inform her most recent multichannel installations, large-scale prints and drawings, which map out eclipses and planetary orbits.
The publication celebrates Devasher's being named the 2024 Deutsche Bank "Artist of the Year" and coincides with her 2025 solo exhibitions, "Rohini Devasher: Borrowed Light," at PalaisPopulaire in Berlin and MUDEC in Milan.
